Considering the situation of coronavirus infection in Bangladesh, the government has decided to extend the holidays in educational institutions till October 3.
The Ministry of Education said the decision would be effective for all types of educational institutions except Qawmi Madrasa.
According to the previous announcement, the holiday was supposed to end on August 31, but now there are opinions from parents and experts about not opening the educational institution.
Earlier, after the first coronavirus case was identified in Bangladesh on March 8, the government announced on March 16 that all educational institutions and coaching centers, including schools and colleges, would be closed from March 16 to March 31.
The HSC and equivalent examinations, which are scheduled to start from April 1 this year, were also postponed.
Later, when the government announced the first general holiday, the holiday period was extended to April 9 in all educational institutions.
